Welcome
to your child’s first year of school!
I’m looking forward to getting to know both you and your child.
Here
are some important items to note:
- Rockglen kindergarten days will be:
1, 3 and 5. I’ll be sending home a calendar before the beginning of each
month and it will include all important dates for our class.
- Library day will be every day 5
- The kindergarten class will spend
the morning with me for Language Arts, Math, Social, Science and Centers
and the afternoon with the grade 1 and 2 class for Library, and Arts
Ed.(taught by Mrs. Waronek) ,Gym(I teach this)
- Every day we will have a healthy
snack time. Prairie South School Division has a “healthful choice
nutrition policy” and I ask your help in this regard .We’ll be discussing
healthy foods and graphing our healthy choices every day.
- For now I will be writing notes in
the old fashioned way via paper but I would like to see the blog used so I'll post all info on it as well.
- You can still reach me at any time: 476-2651(home) 47-2220 school), or just drop by the kindergarten room.
- Another quick way to reach me would be to email me at :stewart.anne@prairiesouth.ca . I usually check my emails each morning and at the end of the day.

Show and Tell is an important part of your
child’s kindergarten year. Their day will be marked on the calendar. (The list
is in alphabetical order)Please send your child’s show and tell item in a bag
or a box so that the class can’t see it. We will have fun guessing what it is!

I
would like to create a family bulletin board. Please email me, or send in a
family photo with the names of each family member ,either printed on the back of
the photo ,or on a list as soon as possible.
